Saturday 12th June 2010

The start to the day was slow and relaxing, swimming in the pool, reading, but it all came to an end when the temperature kept rising and ended up at about 100'.  The pool water can only keep you cool for a certain length of time and even sitting in the shade was too hot.  Well before lunchtime we were inside the house with all the windows and curtains shut with the ceiling fan going.

The guild we had visited on Thursday was having a car boot sale this afternoon and we said we would go along and see what was there.  I have a collection of differently shaped teapots and these types of events are perfect for finding more.  Even though it was very hot my mother, myself and my oldest son jumped in the steaming hot car and drove half an hour to the sale.  We stayed for about 20 minutes having looked at the rubbish for sale, bought a blue teapot for 3 euros and then dashed back to the car.  It was still somewhat cool from our journey into town, and drove home longing for the comfort of the house.

That was all the activity we managed today due to the heat.
